On December 8th all of these women were able to be fully funded in the loans requested:
1. Matilde Elena Asosta Franco, Santa Marta, Columbia Loan Requested: $225
- Worked as a door-to-door saleswoman selling fruits and vegetables
- Expanded her business to include handbags, shoes, sheet and clothing
- Loan will allow her to continue to grow, to learn and support her family
2. Azenith Lumbang, Pampanga, Philippines Loan requested: $300
- Manages a general store to provide for herself and her family
- Loan will allow her to expand her store’s stock, better meet her community’s needs and provide a
stable income for her family
3. Oysoat J. Rumy, Tajikistan Loan Requested: $700
- Married mother of 5 children
- Works in agriculture planting crops
- Loan will purchase fuel for tractor and pay the driver’s wages as well as the rent for the land
- Sale of her crops provides the family income
4. Marianeta Munar Rosales, Pangasinan, Philippines Loan requested: $325
- Manages a general store selling an array of products and produce
- Loan will by additional stock
5. Viola Kapsowar, Kenya Loan Requested: $350
- Mother of 2 children
- Smallholder practicing mixed farmer of 10 years
- Sells eggs, milk and greens
- Recently started sheep farming and wants to sell sheep meat and wool
- Loan will allow her to purchase more sheep to expand her business
6. Nilufar Yavan Tajikistan Loan Requested: $1000
- 22 year old mother of 2
- Homemaker who learned how to cut and sew and now want to start her own business
- Loan will help to purchase a modern sewing machine so she can work from home sewing dresses to provide income to the family
7. Tessie Garcia Rizal, Nueva Ecija, Philippines Loan Requested: $175
- Manages a small general store where she sells basic goods within her community
- Loan will help to purchase additional groceries, toiletries and beverages for her store inventory
