St. Thomas is a member of the Presbyterian Church USA. In the early 70's a group of believers felt called to begin a new church development in Shelby Township. With the support of the Presbytery of Detroit in June 1973 they were chartered as a congregation. Through prayers, faith and sacrificial giving, they built and moved into our present facility in 1976.

In 1976 we felt God's calling to expand our facility to better serve our members and our community. In 1997 we completed our classrooms, new kitchen and our fellowship hall. Today we continue to strive to carry out God's will in order to reach more people for Christ.
